MOSAIC IMAGES

This is a 6 frame composite of the Full Moon taken on December 6th, 2003.  It was taken with my 1600mm 10"  SCT and a 6.3 focal reducer and Stellacam EX video camera.  I used IRIS to form the Mosaic. Click on moon for a larger view (.5meg).

This is my first collection of images taken with a simple 1/3 inch CCD B&W Video Camera at prime focus in my telescope.  These images were taken in June 2002. I created a single picture by stitching together multiple images up and down the terminator of the moon.

Waxing Gibbous moon 73.8%

This is a collection of 9 individual video frames captured on a computer and blended together to form a mosaic

Waxing Gibbous moon 90%

Another mosaic of a slightly more illuminated moom. I had some gain and contrast problems with the multiple images.

I used an astrophotography program called IRIS to stitch the images together.
