IC434 - Flame Nebula &
Horsehead Nebula in Orion. Captured on 1/17/2007 at Robert
Moses State Park. This is a combination of 27 images at ISO 1600 for 5
minutes each. Each image was taken with a Digital Rebel on a 78mm
Stellavue refractor at Prime Focus. Un-Guided, raw conversion, dark,
flat, bias frames. Graded, aligned, averaged, stacked and 3x3 bin.
Color adjustment and cropped in PhotoShop. |

NGC 2244, The Rosette Nebula. This large nebula is located
just to the left of Orion. Image captured on 12/17/2006 at Fire
Island, NY. Images 24x5 minutes at ISO 800 prime focus on a 78mm Stellavue
Refractor.
Guided, raw conversion, dark, flat, bias frames. Graded, aligned, averaged,
stacked, 3x3 bin. Color adjustment and cropped in PhotoShop.

NGC 1977, the Running Man Nebula. This nebula is
located in the Constellation Orion. Image captured on 11/25/2006
at Fire Island, NY with a Canon Digital Rebel on a 10" reflector.
Images 29x5 minutes at
ISO 800 prime focus on a 1600mm SCT.
Guided, raw conversion, dark, flat, bias frames. Graded, aligned, averaged,
stacked, 3x3 bin, and cropped in Images Plus.

Messier 45, The Pleiades Star Cluster. The Pleiades
nebulae are blue-colored, which indicates that they are a reflection
nebulae, reflecting the light of the bright stars situated near them.
Captured on 10/14/2006. Images 23x5min @ ISO 800 at prime focus 78mm
Stelavue, raw conversion, dark
and flat frames, aligned and stacked in Images Plus. Averaged, cropped and

Caldwell 19, the Cocoon Nebula, Captured on 9/20/06 at
Robert Moses State Park. This is a combination of 20 images for
5 minutes each. Taken with a Digital Rebel on a Schmidt Cassgrain
Telescope.
Images 20x5min @ ISO 800 at prime focus SCT 1600, raw conversion, dark
and flat frames, aligned and stacked in Images Plus. Averaged, cropped and
3x3 binned.

NGC 7293, the Helix Nebula. Captured on 9/27/06 at
Robert Moses State Park. This is a combination of 25 images at ISO 800 for 5
minutes each. The 120 minutes of exposure was taken with a Digital
Rebel on a 1600mm Schmidt Cassgrain Telescope at Prime Focus. Stacking and processing
with Images Plus. Levels and cropping with Photoshop.

Messier 20 the Trifid Nebula. Captured May 28th, 2006
at Cherry Springs State Park, PA. One hour exposure time at
6x10minutes at 400 speed on a Canon 300D and Stellavue 76mm refractor. Dark,
flat, stacking , and processing done with Images Plus.

2006 at Cherry Springs State Park, PA. One hour exposure time at

Two nebulas in the constellation Sagittarius. M8
and M20 wide field mosaic of the previous two images. Photostitch used for
the mosaic. |

The Witch Head Nebula - IC2118, captured on
12/27/2005. This is a fairly dim reflection nebula located off
the bright star Rigel (off the picture in the upper right) in the
Constellation Orion. I used a Stellavue 78mm refractor at prime focus.
Five pictures at ISO 800 were stacked and processed in Images Plus.
Dark and Flat fields were also used. Some slight color enhancement as
well to bring out the blue nebula. |

This is NGC 6960. Its called the Veil Nebula.
This is the western region of the
Veil Nebula complex.
DIgital Rebel at Prime Focus on an 80 mm
refractor. 22 images at iso800 for 3 minutes. Taken on 10/4/05
at RMSP. Images Plus used for dark subtraction, alignment,
stacking and cropping. |

The Horsehead Nebula located in the constellation Orion the
hunter. The horsehead is a dark nebula located in front of a red/pink
emission nebula IC434. Image taken on November 14, 2004. This is
a composite of 20 images taken at ISO 1600 for 2 minutes. DSLR Focus
and Images Plus used for focusing, image stacking and processing.
The bright red area to the right is due to extreme processing to bring out
this dim nebula. |

composite of 25 pictures. Each picture was 2 minutes at ISO 1600, for
a total image time of 50 minutes manually guided. Taken at RMSP.

Orion Nebula - M42 & M43 The Great Orion Nebula is the
brightest Nebula in the Northern Hemisphere. . It is located in the constellation Orion,
just below the 3 beautiful stars in the Belt. It's located in the location
of Orions Sword.

40 minutes prime focus and 35 mm Canon AE1; manually guided; Film - Kodak Gold
200; 1600mm SCT @ f/6.3
