Sunspots

The Sun and sunspot complex 956.  Captured on May 18, 2007 at Cherry Springs State Park, PA.  Captured on a 1600mm SCT with a visual white light Solar Filter. ISO 200, 1/8 second on a Canon Digital Rebel.
Here is a picture taken 10/25/03 of our nearest star from Southhold, NY.   This is sunspot complex 484 taken at Prime Focus with a Phillips ToUCam, and a white light solar filter.  Some dust grains are evident on my video camera (small donuts).
Here is the closest Star to the Earth. The Sun, and my first attempt at solar astrophotography. I used a  B&W video camera with a white light solar filter.  I grabbed 5 seconds of video and ran it through Registax for alignment and stacking with slight level adjusting in Photoshop.
